A man is sentenced to life in prison for killing a bank teller during a botched robbery nearly six years ago.

It happened in May 2007 in Chicago's Chatham neighborhood.

David Vance shot 23-year old Tramaine Gibson when Gibson said he couldn't open the vault at the Illinois Service Federal Savings and Loan.

During the sentencing hearing, Gibson's father urged the judge to "give this vermin what he deserves."
