Governor Pat Quinn spoke out against violence Sunday at St. Sabina Church on the city's South Side.

He talked about issues that will help some communities put an end to violence in their area, including gun control.

An innocent victim of gun violence, Ondelee Perteet, also attended the church service.

In 2009, at age 14, Perteet was shot in the face during a party, making him a quadriplegic.

He's been in therapy ever since but can now walk with the help of a walker.

Perteet walked down the aisle at the church and received communion Sunday.
