Nobel Prize winner Jody Williams was in Chicago Monday on tour to promote her new book.

Williams is the tenth woman, and third American woman, to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

She got it in 1997 for her work trying to ban land mines.

"I'm a normal human being and i got to participate in an extraordinary campaign that was successful because there were thousands and millions of us working together," Williams told ABC7's Cheryl Burton.

Williams says she's now working on a campaign to fight rape and gender violence during wars.
