A group of Chicagoans ran in the cold and snow Friday night to honor those impacted by Monday's Boston Marathon explosion.

They are members of a running group and typically offer support to each other.

Friday night, they reached out to runners from around the country and around the world who were in Boston.

They took off from Montrose Beach and ran for three miles.
