2 police officers hurt in crash with South Side shooting suspects

Two Chicago police officers were treated Saturday for minor injuries they suffered in a collision while trying to apprehend two shooting suspects on the South Side.

The officers were responding to a report of people shooting from a white vehicle in the 4300-block of South Union. The officers said they tried to stop the vehicle, but it crashed into their squad car at 49th Street and Princeton.

Two suspects were taken into custody.
