Police say a white Mercedes crossed the center line and struck a minivan at Erhart and Gilmer roads.
A third car swerved to avoid the accident and crashed into a tree.
The driver of the Mercedes was killed and the victim's name has not been released.
There were no other life threatening injuries.
Authorities are trying to determine what caused the driver to cross into oncoming traffic.
