Elizabeth Cooper is one of this year's Golden Apple winners. Mayor Rahm Emanuel surprised the 61-year-old in her classroom Wednesday afternoon with the award.
Cooper is an environmental sciences teacher at Lindblom Math and Science Academy.
Cooper is the second Lindblom teacher to win the award and also the second Englwood teacher to win the award this week.
