The accident happened yesterday on Route 45 just north of Grand Avenue in unincorporated Lake Villa.
Investigators say the driver of a Toyota struck Anna Harvey.
She later died at a hospital in Libertyville.
The 34-year-old Harvey was celebrating her birthday Thursday.
She was the mother of 3 children and a U.S. Army veteran.
The driver of the car was not hurt.
