Armed man in custody after apartment barricade

Police and SWAT teams were called to an apartment in the northwest suburbs Saturday night after neighbors reported shots fired.

The armed man barricaded himself inside.

Other residents in the Arlington Heights apartment complex and nearby business owners were asked to remain inside.

The man eventually was taken into custody without incident. There were no injuries.

There's no word on what may have caused the man's behavior.
