County officials say they may waive construction-permit fees for people who want to repair damage caused by the disaster. They're also considering reducing fees for removing septic tank waste from the floods.
According to recent estimates, 4,500 properties in Lake County were damaged.
The county board's public works and transportation committee will now consider the proposal.
