Jeffery Watson, 44, and Albert L. Askew, 61, are both charged with one felony count of possession of heroin -- more than 900 grams. Police say officers conducting surveillance on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, observed Askew take possession of the heroin relocate it to the 7800-block of South Calumet Avenue, where he met Watson and placed the package in his pickup truck.
A short time later, officers seized the vehicle and executed a search warrant that police said led them to the narcotics.
Both Watson and Askew are expected to appear in Central Bond Court on May 8, 2013.
