Surrounded by sheriff's police, Anthony "A-Train" Espinoza, shot himself inside a home in East Chicago, Ind., on Friday night. Espinoza, 27, was wanted in connection with an early morning home invasion.
Espinoza and two other men are believed to have broken into a home on Antelope Lane in the southwest suburb of Orland Park. Police say a 30-year-old man, his fiancée, their nanny and two young children were home at the time.
Armed with handguns, the robbers demanded cash and jewelry. The man fought back, and the robbers shot him in the arm, shoulder, and leg. They then fled the scene, and the victim made an attempt to follow.
Police say Espinoza was the getaway driver. A warrant for Espinoza was issued on Friday, and a tip led officers to the East Chicago home where he was found dead.
