Peoples Gas, North Shore Gas rates going up

The Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) has approved a rate increase. The ICC says the average Peoples Gas customer will pay an additional $4.40 a month.

The bill for North Shore customers will rise about $2.50 a month.

The new rates take effect in July.
