The American Medical Association reveals new data that shows just how important it is for stroke victims to get medical treatment immediately.

In tracking nearly 60,000 stroke patients, the AMA study found that for every 15 minutes sooner a patient can get treatment their chances of reducing long-term symptoms and even death improve by 4 percent.

They're also 4 percent more likely to be able to recover their ability to walk rather than going home in a wheelchair.
