Chicago police are still looking for driver who claimed the life of the 21-year-old aspiring artist.
The driver failed to stop after hitting Hinz on Friday, June 14th in the 3200 block of South Morgan, in the Bridgeport neighborhood. Hinz died the following day.
Hinz was volunteering at a kickoff event at a local arts center when she was struck.
Police say the driver of the dark colored 4-door vehicle was traveling at such a high rate of speed, that the impact sent Hinz flying over another car and into the rear window of a parked vehicle, where she landed in the back seat.
Family and friends say they want justice.
The memorial service will take place at 5:00 p.m. at the First Trinity Church on 31st and Lowe.
Meanwhile, authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Chicago Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Unit.
