This summer, the zoo is starting work on a 2.2 acre, $15 million capital improvement plan.
It includes a new monkey habitat that will have webcams and two sheltered viewing areas for visitors.
Also, the zoo will build a new kids train adventure ride, and enhance guest amenities.
The zoo says all this work will create 450 new jobs.
The new experiences are slated to debut in the fall of 2014.
