Roger Harrison, 37, of Matteson, is due in court Saturday after being arrested near the parade route.
Chicago police say they noticed Harrison acting suspiciously.
He admitted to possessing one gun, and officers found a second gun in his backpack.
Harrison is charged with two felony counts of unlawful use of a weapon.
