A warning was issued to parents after someone tried to abduct a Chicago teenager.

It happened about 8 a.m. Monday morning in the 600-block of E. 48th Street.

A fourteen-year-old girl was walking to school when a man grabbed her by the shoulder.

She broke free and ran to safety.

Police say the suspect is a black male with a dark complexion, between 35 and 45, about 5'6" to 5'8" tall, and was driving a dark blue van with a dent on the left rear door.
