Wisconsin crops devastated by too much rain after 2012 drought

July 8, 2013

2013 is one of the wettest springs on record in the state.

Farmers haven't been able to plant as planned.

Corn farmers' crops are behind schedule.

To help recoup some losses, Governor Scott Walker has asked the federal government for help declaring 24 counties disaster zones.

The agriculture secretary has approved the request, paving the way for federal aid.
