Stormy weather disrupts Chicago area concerts

July 20, 2013 (CHICAGO)

Pearl Jam played to a sold out crowd, but about 30 minutes into the set the show was put on hold due to the approaching storm. Fans on the field were told to leave the area and head to the concourses.

The concert was delayed for more than two hours. Pearl Jam eventually returned to stage performing until 2 a.m.

At Ravinia in Highland Park, Sheryl Crow performed. Fans in the pavilion were protected, but everyone camping out on the lawn got drenched.

Phish was to perform at Northern Island, but that concert was canceled and everyone was evacuated because of the storm. The band plays again Saturday and Sunday nights.
