Some Chicago children use music and dance to express their plea to stop the violence.

Sunday night, members of the Happiness Club gathered for a benefit at the Park West Theater in Lincoln Park.

The young performers debuted an anti-violence themed song called, "Put Down the Gun."

Participants come from neighborhoods across the city.

The Happiness Club aims to attract young people with music and song writing, while improving their self-esteem by encouraging them to avoid gangs and drugs.
