Top Chicago FBI agent reportedly retiring

He has only been on the job for seven months, but the head of Chicago's FBI appears to be on his way out.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that FBI Special Agent in Charge Cory Nelson is retiring from his post.

He allegedly notified the bureau on Wednesday of his intentions to move into the private sector in a position out of state.

ABC7 was unable to reach the FBI for a comment.
