Reward offered in fatal Bridgeport hit-and-run

June 23, 2013 (CHICAGO)

Cook County Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in the death of 21-year-old Carissa Hinz. She was struck in the 3200-block of South Morgan on June 14.

Police say the vehicle was traveling at such a high rate of speed, that the impact sent Hinz flying over another car and into the rear window of a parked vehicle, where she landed in the back seat. Hinz had been volunteering at a local arts center kickoff that night.

A maroon Hyundai Sonata with three people inside was seen speeding on Morgan at the time.
