Department of Administration spokeswoman Stephanie Marquis said Thursday that an issue with some of the state's storage devices and servers was identified on Saturday.
She says agencies were notified that some drives and applications may be affected. She did not say which agencies were affected or how widespread the problem was.
Marquis says the system continues to be scanned, and no issues have been found with any applications or data. She says, "The vast majority of file servers are available, but we are continuing to scan the system and restore the data backups."
She did not say what caused the problem or whether any data was lost.
