Chicago police arrested a second person in the murder of a 5-year-old boy and his mother two months ago.

Bond was denied for Larry Cox, 28, in court on Sunday. He was charged with first-degree murder and violating parole.

In June, Chavonne Brown, 31, and her young son, Sterling Sims, were found shot to death in their home on the 5300-block of South Winchester.

Prosecutors also charged Antonio Lewis in the case.
