A federal judge Tuesday afternoon denied a motion brought by parents and students of Trumbull Elementary School to keep the school open.

The lawsuit aimed to stop Chicago Public Schools from closing Trumbull. The parents and students had claimed the closing would discriminate against students with special needs.

Trumbull is one of dozens of schools that CPS decided to close.
