Study: Fatty fish could cut arthritis risk

Eating fatty fish may help prevent rheumatoid arthritis.

A 10-year study of 32,000 women suggests eating one serving a week of fatty fish, such as salmon, may cut the risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis in half.

The same results applied to those who ate four servings a week of a leaner fish such as cod.

Researchers point to the healthy benefits of omega-3 fatty acids in fish.

The study appears in the "Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases."
