ABC 7 Chicago's Sports Director/Anchor Mark Giangreco, along with anchors Jim Rose and Rafer Weigel, and the latest addition to the sports team, former Chicago Bear wide receiver Tom Waddle, hosts the live, pre-game special, THURSDAY NIGHT MONSTERS. This half-hour special previews the Chicago Bears as they battle the San Diego Chargers in a bid to capture their first win in the pre-season, Thursday, August 15 at 6:30 PM on ABC 7. The Bears/San Diego game begins at 7:00 pm on ABC 7.
THURSDAY NIGHT MONSTERS will assess who is winning the offensive line battle, which rookies have a chance to make the team and how the Bears are progressing under first year head Coach Marc Trestman.
Broadcasting live from the ABC 7's State Street Studio, the ABC 7 sports team will take fans right up to kick off with game match-ups, analysis and predictions on the Bears chances for success this year. Interviews with key players, including the introspective tight end, Martellus Bennett, will also be featured.
