The new trucks will hit the streets later this month where workers can prepare and cook food onboard.
Only a small percentage of the more than 120 food trucks in Chicago have the license to do that.
The new food trucks are: The Husky Hog Barbecue, Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, Starfruit and Mar ice cream truck.
