Quinn to decide on speed limit boost legislation

Governor Pat Quinn has until Monday to decide if he'll sign legislation to boost the speed on some interstates in Illinois.

It would go up from 65 to 70 miles per hour on highways in rural areas.

Nearly three dozen states have raised their speed limits to 70 or higher since congress dumped federal limits in 1995.

Illinois State Police and the governor's transportation chief are against it.
