The graffiti and messages spray painted on the equipment was discovered at Veteran's Park on Friday.
According to our news partners, The Daily Herald, authorities say the area could not be cleaned before it would be seen by local residents.
So it was taken down to be cleaned and repaired.
The village hopes to have everything re-installed by spring of next year.
The vandalism is being investigated by police.
