Chocolate prices may rise with cost of cocoa butter

The price of your favorite chocolate might be going up.

The cost of cocoa butter, a key ingredient in chocolate, is rising.

Increased demand by Asia's growing middle class has nearly doubled its cost.

Major chocolate makers have declined to comment on whether they will raise prices.

However smaller chocolate makers have already increased prices by as much as 30 to 40 percent.
