Kmart bomb threats reported at Chicago-area stores

September 15, 2013 ( NORRIDGE, Ill.)

The Norridge Kmart at Harlem and Irving Park was evacuated Saturday because of a bomb threat. According to police, the store manager decided to shut down the building and call the bomb squad.

After the building was checked and determined to be safe, the store reopened.

A bomb threat was also reported at the Kmart on Addison and reportedly at one other store.

Last week, a Tinley Park store was evacuated for the same reason.
