Gold Star vigil held to remember fallen Chicago police officers

Hundreds gathered to remember the Chicago police officers who gave their lives protecting the city.

The annual candlelight vigil took place Tuesday night at the Gold Star Memorial and Park near Solider Field. During the ceremony, the names of 567 officers were read.

Five of those were included for the first time after reviews determined they died in the line of duty.

Ron Magers emceed a reception for the Gold Star families before the vigil.
