New reports indicate the Tribune Company is reviewing its budget and looking for ways to slash $100 million.

A spokesperson for the company is denying the $100 million dollar report, saying "no target for expense reduction has been set." The company is currently going through a budget review, which the spokesman says is done annually.

Tribune Company owns the Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times and several other newspapers, plus 23 TV stations nationwide.
