Holiday season spending predicted be up over a year ago

The holiday season is rapidly approaching and we're getting our first look at potential spending habits of Americans this year.

Retail experts are predicting that Americans will spend more this holiday shopping season than they did last year.

The National Retail Federation estimates that sales will increase nearly 4 percent in November and December.

That's more than the 3.5 percent increase a year ago.
