Community Connection: Parkinson Walk

October 20, 2013

It takes place in Lincoln Park in Chicago.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a progressive disorder of the brain and central nervous system that causes a variety of movement problems such as shaking, muscle stiffness and difficulty walking. Approximately one million people in the United States have PD, making it the second most common neurodegenerative disease. Joyce Oberdorf, President and CEO of the National Parkinson Foundation (www.parkinson.org), and Andy Albert, Board Member of the National Parkinson Foundation, joined us live from the site if the walk (www.movingdaychicago.org) during our ABC7 News Sunday Morning.
