Fire trucks are blocking much of Clark Street in the area.
There are reports of fire in the rear and the fire is spreading other buildings in the area.
The fire department says they believe it started in a restaurant and has spread to at least one other building.
The blaze is happening near the CTA track, but trains are still running.
The Clark bus No. 22 is being re-routed.
