CPD names lab after fallen officer; Breathalyzer training facility named for Michael P. Gordon, killed by drunk driver

November 22, 2013 (CHICAGO)

A police academy training lab has been named after Officer Michael P. Gordon.

It's where recruits will learn how to give breathalyzer tests.

Officer Gordon died when his squad car was hit by a drunk driver nine years ago.

His dad says officer Gordon achieved two big professional dreams, to be a soldier and then be a Chicago police officer.
