Naperville man sentenced for shoplifting groceries; Peter Dunning, 31, reaches plea agreement, battery complaint dropped

A Naperville man has been sentenced to three years in prison for shoplifting groceries last May.

Thirty-one-year old Peter Dunning reached a plea agreement with prosecutors and they dropped a battery complaint.

Police say Dunning wrestled with a store security worker before he was arrested.

According to police, Dunning has a long criminal record and he faces trial in Will County on charges that include identity theft.
