Extra crews were called in to help fight the fire around 7 p.m. Tuesday by the Skokie Fire Department because of the cold temperatures. The fire broke out at an assembly hall of a facility for developmentally-challenged adults located in the 7600-block of Marmora Drive.
Officials have not determined what led to the fire. The investigation continues.
