Metra officials said train #13 has been stopped between Maywood and River Forest for more than half an hour as of 7 a.m.
"This is an outbound train, supposed to arrive in Elburn at 7:21 a.m. That's not going to happen," ABC7 Traffic Reporter Roz Varon said. "It's still sitting there. That's going to turn around and become an inbound train. You know how that goes."
Other trains could get backed up due to that delayed train. Metra riders should allow for extra time.
