Customers of one north suburban jewelry store could get their purchases for free, thanks to a snowy promotion.

To celebrate their newly expanded store, P.K. Bennett Jewelers in Mundelein ran a holiday promotion. If it snows three inches or more on New Year's Day, customers will get their money back. Based on weather reports, that could happen.

All purchases made from Black Friday through Christmas Eve were entered into the promotion.

If the weather reports are correct, the store will be giving away about $150,000 in jewelry.
