Metra says at least one line, BNSF, will be operating on a reduced schedule for Tuesday morning's rush hour.
For the Monday evening commute, Metra canceled dozens of trains and modified schedules across the Metra Electric, North Central Service, Union Pacific West, North and Northwest lines.

Due to modified schedules and cancellations on Monday afternoon, Metra urged commuters to check the boards before boarding a train on their normal tracks.
It was a difficult day for Metra. Early Monday morning, an inbound Milwaukee District-North train struck a semi-truck in Niles near Touhy and Lehigh, closing roads in the area.
In separate incidents, two Rock Island trains struck bumping posts while pulling into the LaSalle Street station Monday morning. In one of those incidents, six people were taken to the hospital.
"As a precaution, we've ordered all trains entering downtown terminals to enter at walking speed just to make sure they can stop shy of the bumping post," said Mike Gillis, Metra spokesperson.
Metra continued to experience problems with frozen switches, as well as turning around trains in the yard from the morning to evening rush.
