Classmates traveled to Wisconsin for the funeral of Purdue engineering student Andrew Boldt, who was shot and stabbed in a classroom last week.
Another Purdue engineering student, 23-year old Cody Cousins is charged with murder.
On Tuesday, students remembered Boldt as smart and quirky.
"If you'd asked me two weeks ago who was the best student on campus, it would be Andrew Boldt," said E.J. Williams, classmate.
He would always be willing to help and he was just a good guy. I'm going to miss him," said Ryan Johnson, classmate.
Purdue has planned what's being called a "day of healing" for Friday, to help the campus community cope with what happened.
A scholarship fund is being set up in Boldt's memory.
