After 63 years, the Mount Assisi Academy in suburban Lemont will close its doors at the end of the school year.

On Monday night, students, parents and alumni held a candlelight vigil outside the Roman Catholic school.

They're urging officials to reconsider closing the all-girls high school.

Administrators say an increasing budget deficit and declining enrollment are the reasons the school will close.
