On Twitter, the CTA said the tracking system was down periodically Wednesday morning due to a "technical problem." A spokesperson said the system appeared to be overwhelmed by the number of people using it.
Use of the CTA's bus tracker and train tracker spikes during inclement weather, the transit agency said.
There were also some delays involving track switching issues.
