The cooler was partly to blame for the scandal that rocked the morgue two years ago.
That's when an I-Team investigation uncovered photos of mishandled remains inside the morgue. Some were decaying, others piled on top of each other.
On Thursday, Toni Preckwinkle will allow cameras to see the new cooler.
The I-Team has also learned she will announce the medical examiner's office is back to partial accreditation from the National Medical Examiners Association.
