Citizenship loans offered by credit union; U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez launches new service to pay for application fees

U.S. Representative Luis Gutierrez was in Chicago's Lower West Side neighborhood Saturday to announce the launch of a new service.

Second Federal Credit Union will offer loans for U.S. citizenship application fees, which are nearly $700.

It is the only financial institution in Illinois to offer this type of service.
