Dozens of them gathered Saturday in the West Loop for the fifth annual Winter Bike Swap.
It was the chance for them to find bikes, equipment, clothes or whatever else they may need as the temperature warm up.
For some people it was a chance to reconnect.
"For many of us we never put out bikes away, we just change tires and so an event in the winter is great thing because it allows you to get back with your tribe, hang out, and see what's what," said event organizer Lee Diamond.
This year's bike swap was held in a smaller venue than previous years.
Organizers say it was a tight fit but they made it work.
